About the full degree programme
As a student on our BA Creative Writing or our BA English & Creative Writing here at the University of Bolton, you’ll take a number of script-writing modules that will introduce you to writing for stage, screen and radio. You’ll cover everything from character and story beats to stage directions and script formatting, and then, in your second and third years, you’ll get to look more closely at the research redrafting processes that go into developing successful scripts for a variety of media. Our classes are designed to show you what it is to be a professional scriptwriter, all the way from the initial idea to the industry pitch. The sessions are lively and fun, and very practical: you will pursue projects that interest you, supported by staff members who will provide you with regular detailed feedback, support, and recommended readings and screenings.
